Anyone who operates a scissor lift within their place of work. The scissor lift comes under the mobile elevated working platform category or 'MEWP'
Course Objectives
To provide delegates with sufficient information for them to understand the hazards associated with mobile elevated work platforms and to have effective safe systems of work in place.
During the course, the following elements will be covered.
- Understand their legal obligations under the current regulations
- Safe operation of a scissor lift
- Pre-shift operational checks
- The use of harnesses
- Understanding the hazards and risks associated with MEWPs
- Practical training and test
- Theory test
