Rough Terrain Telescopic Handler training course
Who is this course suitable for?
The Rough Terrain Telescopic Handler training course is recommended for all forklift operators who use rough terrain or telescopic handlers. As with all our forklift courses, ITSSAR stipulate that the experience of the driver will determine the length of the course.
Important Information
Although not required by law, it is recommended by governing Health and Safety bodies that a refresher test is taken every 3-5 years for operators currently holding a nationally recognised certificate. This not only covers yourself as an employer but helps to keep safety at the forefront of your employees’ thoughts.
Course Objectives
To be able to operate a telescopic handler in a variety of situations safely and efficiently.
During the course, the following elements will be covered.
- Have an understanding of the current regulations
- Weight Assessment
- Forklift Stability
- Pre- Operational Checks
- Handling a variety of loads
- The practical use of the various steering modes
- The safety issues involved in variable reach operation
- The use and fitment of various attachments
- Practical training and test
- Theory test
This course can be carried out at your premises or at Milne Safety for up to 3 delegates
