Who is this course suitable for?
Anyone who operates an articulated boom otherwise known as a 'cherry picker' within their place of work. The articulated boom comes under the mobile elevated working platform category or 'MEWP'
Course Objectives
To provide delegates with sufficient information for them to understand the hazards associated with Mobile Elevated Work Platforms and to have effective safe systems of work in place.
During the course, the following elements will be covered.
- Understand their legal obligations under the current regulations
- Safe operation of an articulated boom
- The use of harnesses
- Pre-shift operational checks
- Understanding the hazards and risks associated with MEWPs
- Practical training and test
- Theory test
